GDPR Data Subject Rights
At Elion.social, we believe your data belongs to you. Under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have full control over your data. This centre is designed to guide you on how to exercise your rights.
1. Your Fundamental Rights
Under the GDPR you have the following rights: Right of Access: You have the right to learn what data we collect about you and how we process it. Right to Rectification: You may request the update of incomplete or incorrect data. Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You have the right to request permanent deletion of your data from our systems. Data Portability: You have the right to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format and transfer it to another service. Restriction of Processing: You can freeze the use of your data in situations where you do not want it deleted but object to its processing. Right to Object: You can object to certain processing activities such as personalised advertising or algorithmic analysis.
2. How to Exercise Your Rights
Elion.social provides you with user-friendly tools to exercise these rights: To Delete Your Data: You can instantly delete all your data by following the steps "Settings > Privacy > Delete Account & Data" on your profile page. To Download Your Data: You can use the "Download My Data" button (coming soon) to request a copy of all your data. For Other Requests: If you wish to make a manual request regarding your other rights listed above, you can send an email to [privacy@elion.social]. Requests will be answered within the legal period of 30 days.
3. Automated Decision-Making and Algorithms
We use algorithms to analyse your interests in order to provide you with a better experience. If you wish to opt out entirely of these analyses, you can activate the "Disable Personalisation" option from the settings menu.
4. Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly process the data of persons under 16. If you notice that someone under 16 has registered on the platform, please contact us; the relevant data will be deleted immediately.
